I purchased this perfume and unfortunately, It was not authentic at all. The packaging has noticeable flaws, including a strange rectangular print and a poorly fitted bottle that creates a relief on the interior closing part and of course the perfume smells just horrible.
I reached out to customer service for a refund via email, providing detailed photos, but I haven't receive any response yet.
I expected better communication and accountability from a reputable seller.

The Micheal Jackson of the fragworld, the originator of Salome and many other well-done animalic chypres. Bal à Versaille A masterpiece and a reference to chypre perfection for many well-known artisanals.

Diehard frag heads know the legend Bal a Versaille and its core impact to the world of perfumery, the pomp and grandeur, Roja Dove, Michael Jackson, the whole nine yards, so I won't bore you with the specifics. They're easily accessible elsewhere...

I can't compare to prior formulas, and I won't complain about "SPL" performance because that's not what I am. I know full well that a lot of this has to do with viewpoints, and viewpoints are often influenced by or misleading. However, when I smell this, I smell depth, soul, and prestige in my head and heart. Even in its current formulation.

That animalic base is certainly present and noticeable, but Bal à Versailles doesn't come across to me as "dirty sexy." It's sexy because it's smooth and warm and it melts into your skin. It has a certain velvety darkness, but it remains warm and comforting. Whoever said this scent lingers and smolders... I have to concur.

This is a complex, smooth, harmonious sense of hug from the most elegant intellect that might exist in today's time.
I'm wearing this wonderful scent right now, and I can't stop smelling my wrist! It's good to note that such a well-crafted piece of history still exists to this day. On top of that, this perfume is very affordable. Bal à Versailles instantly became one of my favorites, and is among the best chypres I've ever sniffed, PERIOD.

I have been using this scent for over 40 years. Cannot say enough good things about it. Such a wonderful product. Just the right amount of fragrance to make you smell great!
