To the review under mine: speak for yourself. You sound like a baby who got his sucky binky taken away. Anyways, I'm so glad I bought this. I'm always skeptical of fragrances that are hyped by youtube shills, but I'm glad I got my hand on this one. The opening is sort of heavy on the nutmeg and can be a little strong. It has the same sort of thing as layton where it smells like a sexy spiced apple pie, but this fragrance is darker and denser in my opinion. I definitely feel that it preforms better than layton in cold weather. In response to the pitiful review below mine, I guess the longevity has to do with where you are in the world, the chemistry of your skin, and the fragrances that you are used to purchasing. When I spray this on my clothes, I can still smell it after they've been washed. I have no problem with longevity at all... I really like the rose in this as well. It plays very well in the mid and it's not overpowering at all. This fragrance is just really well blended man. Service is great as well. Arrived quickly and packaged very well. You honestly can't go wrong.

That’s my second PDM, first one was Layton which absolutely love! But Carlisle has its own specific notes !!!

Carlisle by Parfums de Marly is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women and men. Carlisle was launched in 2015. Top notes are Nutmeg, Green Apple and Saffron; middle notes are Tonka Bean, Rose, Osmanthus and Davana; base notes are Patchouli, Vanilla and Opoponax.

This is not really a summer fragrance, but I wanted it for the fall and winter. Its rich and complex, from the opening to the dry down. And it will grow on you more and more with each wearing. My son, tried it on, and told me later that he was stopped at a grocery store and was complimented and asked what he was wearing.
